The Power of Story
There’s something special about a story. Stories connect us. They make us laugh, cry, and think. In small towns and villages, stories have forever been a part of life, they are how we pass down truth. They help us remember what matters most.
The gospel is the greatest story ever told.
It’s the story of a God who made us, who loved us even when we turned away, and who sent His Son to rescue us. It’s a story of grace, forgiveness, and new life. And the best part is… It’s still being told.
When Jesus saves us, our lives become part of that story. Our testimonies are living proof that the gospel is real. They show what happens when Jesus steps in and changes a heart.
Some stories sound simple. Some sound dramatic. But every one is a miracle.
It doesn’t matter if you met Jesus as a child in a quiet church or in the middle of a mess later in life. Every story of salvation is beautiful. Every story shows the power of God’s love.
Your story matters. It’s not small or unimportant. When you share what Jesus has done for you, you’re sharing the gospel itself. You’re showing others that the same God who changed you can change them too.
So don’t keep your story to yourself. Tell it. Tell it at the dinner table, in the coffee shop, in the supermarket, or on the streets. You never know who needs to hear it. You never know how God might use it.
That’s the power of story.
As we go about life and ministry in our rural communities, let’s not forget that. Every conversation, every encounter, every moment is a chance to tell the story of Jesus through words, through kindness, through the way we live.
The greatest story ever told is still being written. And you’re part of it.
