New Beginnings, A Bright Future, and a New Home
There’s something special about a new beginning.
A fresh chapter. A new season. A moment to pause, reflect, and look ahead with expectation at what God might do next.
Over the last couple of years, Rural Missions has experienced significant growth and change. We’ve expanded our team, launched new resources, strengthened partnerships, introduced new networks, merged with The Resources Cupboard, and supported more churches than ever before as they seek to think and be more missional in their communities.
And now, we find ourselves stepping into yet another new beginning.
Over the last couple of weeks, amidst our regular work, and a host of conferences, Rural Missions has moved into a new office space.
Whilst an office is simply bricks and mortar, for us this move represents something much bigger. It reflects a growing vision, fresh opportunities, and a sense that God is continuing to open new doors for the future of this ministry.
As we’ve journeyed with churches across the UK, one thing has become increasingly clear: there is a deep hunger in rural communities for hope, encouragement, connection, and mission. Again and again, we meet faithful leaders serving quietly, often in challenging circumstances, yet still carrying a passion to see their villages, towns, schools, farms, and communities transformed by the love of Jesus.
That is why Rural Missions exists.
We believe rural churches matter.
We believe small places matter.
And we believe God is far from finished with the rural church.
Our new office is not about status or comfort. It’s about creating a stronger base from which we can continue serving rural churches well. A place where ideas can grow, resources can be developed, conversations can happen, and mission can be encouraged.
It’s another step forward in helping churches move from maintenance mode into mission.
As we prepared for this move, I’ve found myself reflecting on Isaiah 43:19:
“See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?”
Sometimes new beginnings can feel daunting. They often come with uncertainty, change, and plenty of unanswered questions. Yet throughout Scripture, we see a God who continually calls His people forward into new adventures, new opportunities, and deeper trust.
That feels incredibly true for us right now.
There is so much excitement ahead.
We are continuing to grow our Tailor-Made Consultations, helping churches rediscover vision and practical mission. We’re expanding our Children, Youth and Families support. We’re strengthening our networks and partnerships. We’re developing new resources, training, and opportunities to equip rural churches across the UK.
And perhaps most importantly, we remain committed to walking alongside churches with encouragement, hope, and practical support.
Because mission was never meant to be done alone.
As we move into this new office and this new season, we simply want to say thank you.
Thank you to those who pray for us.
Thank you to those who financially support us.
Thank you to those who champion what we do.
Thank you to the churches, leaders, and communities who invite us to journey with them.
You are part of this story too.
Please pray for us, that this next chapter would enable even more rural churches to be equipped, encouraged, and empowered for God’s mission.
We genuinely believe the future is bright.
Not because of clever strategies or big plans, but because God is still at work in rural Britain.
And that is always something worth being hopeful about.
Many blessings,
Bob Goody
CEO
