Welcome Lois

Hi there!
My name is Lois, and I have recently joined the team here at Rural Missions as a Mission Enabler. I live in a village in Ashfield, Nottinghamshire with my husband, Curtis, and our two cats, Baloo and Lumiere.

My background is mainly in church ministry a journey full of rich and wonderfully unique experiences. I hold a BA in Theology, Ministry and Mission, and my dissertation explored biblical hospitality and how it can shape our culture today in 21st-century UK.

I love the Church and all that it is called to be. I’m so excited to see and hear all that God is doing in and through our rural communities.

Throughout my life, I’ve seen time and again the faithfulness of God. Sometimes in big, bold ways, and other times in the quiet, almost hidden moments. But each time, His presence has been constant. “Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful.”  Hebrews 10:23 (NIV) In a world that constantly shifts with changing seasons, uncertainty, and pressures this verse is a grounding truth. God’s promises aren’t fragile or fleeting. They’re rooted in His character, and He is faithful. Always.

As I step into this new season with Rural Missions, I’m reminded that faithfulness is not only what God does; it’s who He is. Whether we are gathered in a grand cathedral or meeting around a kitchen table in a rural village, God is there. His faithfulness reaches us wherever we are planted.

If you find yourself in a place of waiting, wondering, or even wandering. God sees you. He is working, even when it feels quiet.

Where have you seen His faithfulness recently? Or where are you hoping to see it?

Father God, May we walk into this day reminded that we are not alone. The One who called us is faithful and He will finish what He started.
